Settling in..... sort of.....

My birthday came and went in a flash. I do not get any older now, I decided. I got a camera for my birthday and Gideon took us to the Lion Park so that I could try my new camera out. It was nice, I got very close to lion cubs, stroked them and touched them. They are so cute. I got very close to 2 giraffes. They have dark blueish, sticky and very long tongues! They were gorgeous! I saw white lions, and the male had blue eyes. I took photo's of Zebras, impala's and Gemsbokke.

The painters started painting the blue house and it is starting to look good. Although they are causing me not to be focused and to be very stressed out, I am happy that the house looks good. Today I miss Dubai. Maybe I miss the routine of getting up, going to work, teaching the little ones, going home and having a maid to do my ironing twice a week (and cleaning here and there of course!) Maybe I am just in a missing mood, that is why I got my stored photo's out of the statues I took in Dubai....the horses and camels of course! Click on this link to have a look!

Today I have to get the house ready for the painters to paint inside. Chaos! I wish I had a magic wand. I will have to get started as tonight is the only night Gideon can help me with the moving of the furniture. Tomorrow night we are going to see a show of Steve Hofmeyr here in Kempton. Saturday early Gideon is flying to Cape Town and will only be back on Monday again.

I will keep you posted on the state of the house, the painters, the chaos ect ect ect
